Instruments & Infrastructure
Access in a User-Lab Mode
EPIC scientific instruments and laboratory infrastructure is usually accessible in a user-lab mode. On-site access requires a mandatory 3-hour introductory course before access is granted, and certain instruments and devices require further specific training before use. For detailed information for each scientific device please consult the Instruments site.
Access in a Service Mode
The service mode at EPIC consists of a fully comprehensive service performed by the EPIC personnel without the need for the user to access EPIC labs. This service mode is available for a variety of animal care activities, instruments and experimental support. For detailed information about these services please check out the different EPIC units at the Scientific Services site.
For certain types of scientific instruments (e.g. laser photoaccoustics or cell sorting), the service mode is the only way to access the instruments, as those can not be accessed by the user alone.

More information on all services and available instruments can be found on the EPIC Sharepoint (for registered users).
