Transgenic Unit

Generation of new Disease Models, Cryopreservation and Rederivation Services 

The Transgenic Unit of ETH Phenomics Center provides services for the generation of new disease models. Services are customized, including:

-       Project strategizing, according to your individual needs

-       Vector cloning: gene targeting vectors, gene expression vectors

-       Design and synthesis of CRISPR/Cas9 reagents

-       Homologous recombination in embryonic stem (ES)-cells, including

        electroporation, clone isolation and genotyping

-       Blastocyst injection of internal and external ES-cell clones

        (e.g. EUCOMM, KOMP, etc.)

-       Pronuclear injection of transgenes

-       Microinjection of CRISPR/Cas9 in mouse/rat oocytes

-       Cryopreservation of mouse lines

-       Rederivation of mouse lines
