Metabolic and Physiological Phenotyping

The Phenomaster system is a unique and modular phenotyping platform for small animals. It allows fully automated and synchronized assessment of metabolic, behavioral, and physiological parameters with high precision in a stress-free home cage environment. Different functional modules are availalbe to evaluate metabolic parameters, food and liquid intake behavior, locomotor activity, and wheel running, motor learning, operant learning and physiological paramters in one experiment.

Research fields of application include metabolism, neurobiology, physiology, immunology, cardiovascular and cancer research pharmacology, toxicology, drug development and more.

The system comprises a total of 16 places for mice. 8 places can be applied with climate control.
